Speakers include Gen.Treasurer Seth Magaziner who will give a report on the State Pension Fund; Helen Mulligan and Cathrine Leblanc will be speaking on Social Security and Medicare.
Light refreshments will be served as well.
Brother Vincent Quinterno is looking for volunteers to help Sound the Alarm and be part of the nationwide Red Cross effort to help reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by home fires.
Red Cross Rhode Island and local partners will be canvassing neighborhoods, installing free smoke alarms and replacing batteries in existing alarms.
Sound the Alarm home fire safety and smoke alarm installation event will take place on Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
